Sławomir J. Ambroziak was born in Poland, in 1982. He received the M.Sc., Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in radio communication from Gdańsk University of Technology (Gdańsk Tech), Poland, in 2008, 2013, and 2020 respectively. Since 2008 he is with the Department of Radiocommunication Systems and Networks of the Gdańsk Tech: 2008-2013 as Research Assistant, 2013-2020 as Assistant Professor, and since 2020 as Associate Professor.

He is an author or co-author of many publications including book, book chapters, articles, reports and papers presented during international and domestic conferences. He participated and still participates in several projects related to special application of wireless techniques as well as three COST Actions (IC1004, CA15104, and CA20120). Currently, his main scope of research is radio channel modelling in Body Area Networks. He was a recipient of the Young Scientists Awards of URSI in 2016 and 2011, and many domestic awards. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Senior Member of URSI, a mamber of EURACON (European Association for Communications & Networking), and a member of Gdańsk Scientific Society (Division IV – Technical Sciences Board Memeber). He is also a member of the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP) Delegate Assembly, Management Committee Member of the COST CA20120 Action, a Chair of Commission-F of the Polish National Committee of URSI, and an expert in the Electronics and Telecommunications Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In previous years he was a member of the Board of the Working Group on Propagation of EurAAP, and Management Committee Substitute Member of the COST CA15104 Action.
